So many variables, so little time… It’s been a crazy week around here. Our plans keep changing for one reason or another but I’ll just be glad when it’s all over. One more week and we’ll be gone.
It’s a beautiful day here in SF and I haven’t even been outside. I’m going to miss this place a lot once we leave but there are quite a few things I won’t miss:
1. There’s trash everywhere. Coming from Texas, it was heartbreaking to see such a beautiful place so polluted. They don’t put up with that crap in Texas. You go to jail if you get caught littering. But in SF, they “clean” the streets once a week so everyone figures that it’s okay to litter. It makes me sad…
2. Okay, I realize assholes are everywhere but they seem to flock to this city. I’m not saying everyone here is rude, because they’re not, but these buttheads take the cake. People will intentionally ignore you and then get in your way and stay there. I could give about a thousand examples but I’ll just leave it at that.
3. Section 8 housing at the beach: Why exactly do the people who are living off the rest of us get the prime real estate?
And now for some things that I will miss:
1. Being a short walk from the Pacific Ocean. I can’t say enough about living steps away from the beach. Well, who wouldn’t like that?
2. There are community gardens and parks everywhere. Even in the worst neighborhoods, you can find the most beautiful scenery.
3. Some really great restaurants like The Citrus Club, Park Chow, Dolly’s, and Sushi Zen. There are quite a few good restaurants here but you have to know where they are. They’re hidden amongst all the bad ones. And there are a lot of bad ones, they’re practically on every street corner. So do your homework first, boys and girls, before heading out to find a good restaurant in SF.
Anyway, at this point I’m blabbing. I need to get back to packing. Crap…

northern cali rocks!
March 14th, 2008 — Photo Adventures
Ever since we moved out to California, we’ve been in love with Northern Cali, particularly the area around Mendocino and Point Arena. Our ultimate goal is to end up there with a little piece of land close to the Pacific. But for now, we’ll just have to keep dreaming unfortunately. I hope y’all enjoy these shots as much as I do…

The withdrawal is killing me - I haven’t had the chance to post, like, at all over the past couple of days. We’ve been hella busy getting ready to leave the city. We’re sad to be leaving SF but we know it’s for the better. I managed to get a walk in to Ocean Beach yesterday at sunset and got a couple shots of the snowy plovers on the water’s edge. They look like little roadrunners on crack running along the water’s edge.
Oh, and if anyone is paying attention, I’ll get some shots of Northern Cali up here if it’s the last thing I do. I swear, where does time go?

Hey guys! I just wanted to let all 10 of my readers know that I am leaving San Francisco in a couple of weeks. My husband and I have the opportunity to move somewhere where we can get a much bigger place, a garden, and hopefully a dog for just a third of the price. Unfortunately, that place happens to be in Missouri. I plan on keeping this blog going but the subject matter will be changing a bit.
We will be busy getting ready to leave for a while so I won’t have much time for shooting around the city. So starting tomorrow, I’ll start posting some pictures of Northern California that I’ve collected over the past couple of years. Stay tuned…
