Mt. Davidson Cross unobstructed by Brett L. on flickr
So I was looking into heading over to Mt. Davidson (here in SF) to get some city skyline shots and I happened across a site called MtDavidson.org. This site covers a few sample chapters from a book called San Francisco’s West of Twin Peaks (CA) (Images of America) by local historian, Jacqueline Proctor. The pictures alone are worth seeing and the history behind the city is fascinating so this site is definitely worth checking out. And if you’d like to order the book new for only $19.99, follow the book link above.

Brett, thank you for your nice comments about my website and book. I am leading free historic walking tours of Mt. Davidson for San Francisco City Guides on Saturday, May 10th and 24th at 1:30PM. The hike starts at the 36 bus stop next to the park entrance at Myra and Sherwood.
